AI
We design and build apps, web systems and AI solutions that create value.
Link Utvikling is a product studio in Bergen that takes digital solutions from idea and prototype to development, operations and further growth. Across app development, web development and system development, we build with security, scalability and usability in focus, and AI as a tool.

Frequently asked
Wondering about something?
01How do we get started?
Send us an email at mail@linkutvikling.no with a short description of your idea: what you want to build, who it is for, and when you would like to start. We reply within 24 hours and invite you to a no-obligation meeting. There we get to know each other, clarify the scope and find out together whether we are a good match, before you commit to anything.
02What does it cost to develop an app?
A full app typically lands between NOK 300,000 and 1,500,000 ex. VAT, depending on functionality, integrations and design. If you want to test the idea first, we build an MVP (a leaner first version) from roughly NOK 50,000 to 300,000. After the discovery phase you get a concrete estimate, so you know what you are committing to before development starts.
03What does a website cost?
Simple profile websites typically range from NOK 15,000 to 90,000, standard projects from 100,000 to 300,000, and advanced web systems with logins, integrations and custom functionality from 250,000 and up. The price is driven primarily by complexity, not the number of pages.
04How long does a project take?
A prototype often takes days to a few weeks. A website typically takes a few weeks to a couple of months, while a complete app usually takes a few months from start to launch. We work in iterations you get to test along the way, so you see the progress continuously instead of waiting for a big reveal.
05Who owns the solution and the data?
You do. The source code, the design and the data belong to you, not us. We build without lock-in, document the solution, and are clear about how data is handled. If you ever want to switch suppliers, you take everything with you. The only thing we keep is our own know-how: the methods, tools and experience we have built up over the years.
06What happens after launch?
We offer a management setup with operations, monitoring, security updates, bug fixing and further development, scaled to how active your solution is. You get a team that knows your product over time, and that can keep building when new needs appear.
07Can you build on something we already have?
Yes. We integrate with and extend existing systems, whether that means making your app smarter with AI, connecting line-of-business systems, or lifting a website that has stalled. We start with a review of what you have, and give honest advice on what to keep and what to replace.
08How do you use AI in projects?
AI is part of how we think, design and build: we use it to prototype faster, and we build AI into solutions where it actually creates value, such as agents, automation and smarter search. At the same time we are honest about where AI is not the answer, and privacy and security are always part of the design from day one.
09Do you work with startups?
Yes! We have extensive experience working with startups, both through our projects at Link and through our role as tech partner in Atlas Accelerator, where we help startups go from idea to product. We have founder experience ourselves and know where the shoe pinches: limited budgets, high pace and the need for something to show investors. That is why we usually recommend starting with an MVP, a leaner first version that tests the market, and building on from there as you grow.
