Work Inclusion - why it is important

Inclusion in work

In a world that is changing faster than ever, our framework for qualified workers needs to be expanded. Work inclusion is not only about gender balance and inclusion of cultures, but about having a broad focus that also embraces people with social challenges, physical impairments, those with “gaps in their CV” or those who for various reasons fall outside the “norm” in working life.

We at Link Development have had a close cooperation with NAV since the start, where we offer our workplace for workers who have had challenges in their working life. These are candidates who are good at IT, but who for various reasons did not find their place. Several of the candidates we have had with us are now in full employment, and have been a good asset to us during the period.

We recently attended the “Work life fair for the IT industry” at Grand under the auspices of Nav Region Bergen. Here we shared about our experiences, and calls to the public. One of those calls was for employers to not be afraid of gaps in their résumés or those who are self-taught. We have learned time and time again that those who take responsibility for their own learning develop well in the company. The hall was full of job seekers who could offer their IT expertise, and 16 businesses.
