Travelmate - new website

We designed and developed the new website for Travelmate.

Travelmate is a travel agency built on good travel advice. They have operated since 2008 and put the wishes of their customers above all else. The goal is for Travelmate to be a travel companion that helps realise dreams, creates a sense of safety around the trip and arranges the best possible journey for you and your party.

The Travelmate colours were carried over from the earlier graphic profile, but presented in a more airy and seamless way on the new site. The colours are often associated with energy, warmth and enthusiasm. Including orange and green on the site helps create a positive atmosphere and gives visitors a sense of excitement and adventure, which suits a travel agency well.

We used the Travelmate colours on the site in a discreet way, combined with a white background for a more minimalist and clean design. The colours are also well represented in the logo, and we chose to use those elements as section dividers to make the different services Travelmate offers clearer. This also creates a more coherent visual experience for visitors.

Graphic elements representing what you can expect when travelling were also added to strengthen the sense of the journey. One example is the menu, where the plane carries you to wherever you want to navigate.

For the new Travelmate website there was a wish for the site to feel more alive. We handled that by adding subtle animations as you scroll down the page.

Navigation was also simplified by cutting several subpages and taking users straight to what they are looking for.

Alongside the visual side we also focused on search engine optimisation to increase the visibility and availability of Travelmate online. The new website therefore represents not only an aesthetic upgrade, but a strategic approach to strengthening presence and interaction with the target audience.

The technology used in this project is Webflow.
