Introduction

The Lykkepromille project aims to reduce the negative consequences drinking can have for individual students and for the student community in Bergen. The project is funded by the Norwegian Directorate of Health and grounded in professional collaboration with the competence centres on substance use in Bergen and Central Norway. The student welfare organisations working on the Lykkepromille project are Sammen, Sit, SiO, SiA, SSN and SiNN.
The Lykkepromille app had been on the market for several years before we took over development. Instead of continuing with the existing tech stack we chose new technology, while preserving the graphic profile and the animations already in the service. The application makes it easy for users to log the number and type of units, and thereby get an indication of their blood alcohol level based on weight and height. The level does not exceed 1 in the app, since the happy level is between 0.5 and 1.
The app is for those who want to control their intake and keep a low blood alcohol level. The higher the level, the greater the risk of injury and unwanted incidents. If you want to track levels above 1, this is the wrong app (lykkepromille.no).
We hope both young and older people benefit from the app and get an overview of their own intake. The app can be downloaded on both Android and iOS.

It has been really good to work with Link. Right from the start there has been an open and orderly dialogue, and Link has been very good at keeping us updated on the status of the app work. We were contacted by quite a few after the first article in Shifter, and now I am very glad we landed on working with Link Utvikling. I look forward to continuing the collaboration with them.
