One of Norway's top 50 women in tech

Our Technical Lead Michelle Saether has been named one of Norway's 50 leading women in technology.

The ranking is run by the ODA network, the leading Nordic network for diversity in tech, together with Abelia, the NHO association for knowledge and technology companies. Since 2017 they have named the 50 leading women in tech in Norway, with the aim of highlighting talent and strong role models, and inspiring more women to choose technology and leadership as a career.

Link Utvikling is proud to announce that our own Michelle Sæther has been named one of the leading women in tech in Norway. After being handpicked by a jury in a nomination process with more than 700 nominees, our Technical Lead is among those at the top. We could not be prouder.

We had a short chat with Michelle when the news came out:

How does it feel to be named one of the leading women in tech in Norway?

It is absolutely an honour, and recognition I value greatly. It feels incredibly inspiring to be on a list among so many talented and capable women. This recognition is not only for me. It represents all the hard-working women in the technology industry who are passionate about the field and strive to make a difference. It is a sign that the work we do is seen and valued, and it motivates me to keep going.

Why is it important to you to take part in work that promotes equality in the field?

With a background in technology, I have seen how much diversity influences innovation and problem solving. Diverse teams bring different perspectives, experiences and ideas, which is essential for creating groundbreaking solutions that serve society as a whole. Equality in tech is not only a question of fairness; it is also a question of effectiveness, and of using the full potential of our collective intelligence. By working to include more women in technology and leadership, we help build a more innovative, fair and sustainable future. We still have a way to go. I saw the shortage of women already when I was studying, and it has been reflected in the proportion of women in the tech industry since. It matters that we keep making role models visible, so we can inspire more people to step into this exciting industry. This award does exactly that: it shows the breadth of expertise we women have brought into the field.
